Steel Safe- edge protection is designed to work for your project.

J-Safe mesh barrier system connects to the steel structures by either a Web-Fix, Top-Fix or Flange Clamp brackets and is the collective safety system designed for your project.

Our system is the most versatile and the most robust on the market, this has been achieved through years of experience and clever design.

Our detailing team will add the fixing holes or sockets in the steel model, create project specific installation GA’s and along with the Product Familiarisation site meetings, we offer the full project edge protection package.

We also pre-set our brackets to suit your structure, this makes our system the quickest to install and uninstall and means our system will keep your workers safe and save your project time and money.

STEEL-SAFE PRE-SET WEB FIX

Steel Safe – Pre-set, Webfix is designed with your subcontractors in mind.

The barriers are projected away from the structure to allow metal decking, slabs and SFS to be installed uninterrupted.

  • Attaches to the web of the beam or face of box section by bolting the brackets to pre-drilled holes.
  • Allows the steel framing system and metal decking to be installed without clashes with the edge protection.
  • Barriers can be positioned up to 800mm away from web of the beam and 800mm above the beam to suit any flange or slab height or overhang.
  • The holes are detailed into the Tekla steel model by one of our engineers.
  • All brackets are pre-set and their positions shown on the installation GA’s we supply.
  • Available as standard height or 1700mm high systems.
  • Onsite equipment familiarisation is included when hiring the system.

STEEL-SAFE PRE-SET SACRIFICIAL SOCKET

Steel Safe – Pre-Set, Sacrificial Socket edge protection system is designed to be installed and uninstalled extremely quickly.

With one 5m beam being able to be dressed in under a minute.

  • J-Safe posts site in sockets that have been detailed by our engineer and welded to the top flange of the steel beams by the steel fabricator.
  • This is by far the quickest of any steel edge protection systems to install and uninstall.
  • The bottom of the barriers can be positioned up to  800mm above the steel beam to allow for any beam or slab height.
  • All brackets are pre-set and their positions shown on the installation GA’s we supply.
  • Available as standard height or 1700mm high systems.
  • Onsite equipment familiarisation is included when hiring this system.

STEEL-SAFE FLANGE CLAMP

SteelSafe – Flange Clamp Edge protection system is the most flexible of our three systems.

The system does not rely on physical fixings, so doesn’t need any detailing of fixing holes or sacrificial sockets.

  • J-Safe’s Flange Clamp clamps to the bottom flange of the steel beam.
  • This system does not require any detailing of holes or drilling of steel beams.
  • The most versatile of the three attachment methods as the barriers can be positioned up to 700mm away from the web of the beam and 800mm above the beam to suit any flange /slab height or overhang.
  • Available as standard height or 1700mm high systems.
  • Onsite equipment familiarisation is included when hiring the system.
