J-Safe’s Freestanding Edge Protection systems utilise a cantilever base and are the IDEAL collective safety solution when fixing, anchoring, or clamping isn’t an option.
The best application for J-Safe’s Free-Standing Edge Protection System is where a fall protection system must be installed in an area, where there isn’t the possibility to drill into the base structure or clamp to a beam or floor.
To provide adequate restraint to meet EN 13374 Class A, the base plate is large, 1.2metres in length and heavy at 40 kg per base. We believe, an unrivalled system in free standing edge protection.

In correct circumstances, this free-standing system is extremely practical as it utilises Steel Mesh Barriers for material containment as well as preventing falls. Common applications of this system are precast floors, dock refurbishments, roofing edge protection.
Easy Assemble and install with bases, posts and barriers simply inserted into each other, with barriers additionally secured using a 7.6mm cable tie.
This system is EN 13374 Class A compliant, when spaced two metres apart with ballast on every other base plate. This system benefits from the adaptability of the structure because the barriers can overlap anywhere along their length.
